In 13 patients arr ong total 18 patients, the ¢¥underlying diseases were 6 of lung cancer, 5 of COPD. and 2 of bronchiectesis:.
Patients were 21 to 76 years of age (average: 52 years) and 8 patients of total 18 patients were c ver 60 years old.
100mg or 150mg of Netilmicin twice daily was administered for 7 to 20 days.
The overall clinical response rate was 72% (13 cases) among 18 total cases: 8 cured, 5 improved and 2 cases were not evaluable. With respect to bacteriological results, 8 among 9 Gram(-) strains including Pseudomonas and Klebsiella isolated from sputum cultures were eliminated (88.9%).
